This amount is 40% greater than that of Iran and nearly three times the reserves found in the United States. Together, the top three nations—Russia, Iran, and Qatar—account for 51% of all proven natural gas reserves globally, totaling approximately 3.7 quadrillion cubic feet out of an estimated 7.3 quadrillion cubic feet available around the world.
