According to The CEOWORLD magazine, The Netherlands is considered the best country in the world for remote workers despite its high cost of living and expensive internet. Germany and Spain also scored well, ranking second and third, respectively. This year, European nations have dominated the ranking, securing all the top ten spots. The United States is the first non-European country to break into the top rankings, taking 13th place, followed by South Korea at 16th.

The “Best Countries for Remote Working Index 2024” evaluated data from 108 countries and ranked them based on several criteria, including access to fast and dependable internet, socioeconomic benefits such as healthcare, and protections for human rights.
