How AI has evolved beyond a dashboard

AI

There was a time when “real-time analytics” meant a dashboard that updated every 15 minutes. For most enterprises, that was revolutionary, enabling teams to monitor performance without waiting for end-of-month reports. But in an AI-first era, that model feels painfully slow. Business now unfolds in milliseconds, not minutes, and users expect answers in the flow of work, not buried behind tabs and filters. Platforms like Domo are leaning into this reality, reimagining what real-time really looks like when AI takes the driver’s seat.

The most advanced data-driven, AI-driven companies are reimagining their approach to business intelligence, not by adding more widgets to dashboards, but by embedding intelligence directly into the flow of business: in other words orchestrating an intelligence layer for the future autonomous business. This means building systems that think, learn, and act alongside users. It’s about moving from visualization to activation.

Domo is setting the pace in this evolution. Rather than bolting AI onto legacy BI tools, Domo I architecting its platform around agentic intelligence: autonomous, customizable agents that continuously analyze, interpret and respond to data. Built on a foundation of governed, connected data, these agents give organizations the speed, precision and trust they need to compete in an AI-driven world. In short, Domo is showing what business intelligence looks like after the dashboard. In other words, traditional BI and visualized dashboards are rear-view mirror items in a world where companies like Domo are an AI operating system for business performance.

Why this matters now and why Domo’s moment is coming

In recent months, Domo has provided clear signals that the opportunity is accelerating. For instance, the company reported its first quarter of fiscal 2026 (ended April 30, 2025) revenue of US $80.1 million and subscription revenue of US $71.4 million. Even more compelling: subscription Remaining Performance Obligations (RPO), a forward-looking metric showing committed revenue not yet recognized, climbed to US $408.2 million, up 24 % year-over-year, and the portion of that RPO expected beyond 12 months hit US $182.3 million, a 61 % increase.

These numbers suggest that Domo is not only booking new deals but generating longer-term recurring commitments, the kind of foundation that supports betting on growth. At the same time, Domo’s operating cash flow jumped 108 % year-over-year, and adjusted free cash flow improved 159 %.

Beyond the numbers, Domo has deepened its strategic partnerships. In June 2025 the company announced an expanded collaboration with Snowflake Inc. to deliver its full portfolio on the Snowflake Marketplace, including Domo’s low-code/no-code “Magic ETL” engine, reverse-ETL, and agentic AI via its Cortex AI framework.

This integration means that organizations already using Snowflake’s AI Data Cloud can layer in Domo’s intelligence and action-orchestration on top—shortening time-to-value and lowering friction. That’s a strategic advantage.

In short: Domo is advancing from being “just a BI tool” to being a platform for continuous value creation.

Data-driven Alex Albon partnership signals further category growth

In Formula 1, where a thousandth of a second can determine whether a driver finishes on the podium or outside the points, every possible performance edge matters. That is the backdrop for a new partnership between Domo, the AI and Data Products platform, and Alex Albon, one of the most data-savvy drivers on the F1 grid.

Launching during the Las Vegas Grand Prix weekend in 2025 and running through the 2026 season, the collaboration will highlight how data sharpens decision-making for both elite athletes and global enterprises. Albon, known for his precision and ability to extract maximum performance from any car, has built his reputation on the same discipline that defines modern business: real-time analytics, pattern recognition, and instinct reinforced by insight.

Domo plans to bring fans closer to the sport through data-driven storytelling, behind-the-scenes content, and interactive activations. The company will introduce “Full Throttle Intelligence” segments that explore how data is driving decision-making on and off the track. At Domo’s 2026 annual conference Domopalooza, attendees will step into F1-style simulations powered by live data flows from the Domo platform.

For Albon, the partnership reflects the reality of modern racing. “When I race, every fraction of a second matters, and data is critical in helping find that last piece of performance,” he said. “I rely on it each time I get on track. Partnering with Domo feels natural because we share the same obsession with improvement, precision, and performance. Whether it’s a race team or business, the right insights can be the difference between good and great.”

For Domo, the deal reinforces a broader message for business leaders: without visibility into your data trends, AI-enhanced decision-making, and a culture that adapts quickly, even small inefficiencies compound over time.

In racing and business, the margins between success and failure keep shrinking. This partnership shows what becomes possible when speed, precision, and intelligence converge.
