Rupert Murdoch, nearly 93, plans to marry Yelena Zhukova

Rupert Murdoch

Yep, He Did It Again: Rupert Murdoch, a media mogul who is about to turn 93, has been married four times before and is now engaged once again. His to-be wife is Yelena Zhukova, a 67-year-old Russian-Jewish scientist specializing in molecular biology, whom he met last year. Yelena’s ex-husband is Alexander Borisovich Zhukov, a billionaire energy investor and a Russian politician. Their daughter, Dasha, was previously married to Roman Abramovich, another Russian billionaire businessman and investor who owns the private investment company Millhouse LLC. Dasha, who is a founder of the Garage Museum of Contemporary Art and Garage Magazine, got married to Stavros Niarchos III, son of Philip Niarchos, on October 11, 2019.

When the pair walk down the aisle, it will mark Murdoch’s fifth wedding.

Rupert Murdoch, a media mogul, has been married four times and is a father to six children from three of his marriages. His most recent marriage, to the model and actor Jerry Hall, ended in divorce in 2022 after six years. Prior to this, he was married to Patricia Booker, an Australian, with whom he had a daughter named Prudence. He then married Scottish-born journalist Anna Torv, with whom he had three children, Lachlan, James, and Elisabeth.

All four of these children have an equal stake in the family trust, and they have an equal say in what happens to the trust’s voting stock upon Murdoch’s death. He later married Wendi Deng, a Chinese-born woman, with whom he had two daughters, Grace and Chloe. In the spring of last year, he was briefly engaged to Ann Lesley Smith for approximately two weeks.

In the recent past, Rupert Murdoch relinquished his position as the head of Fox News’ parent company and News Corp, and his son Lachlan Keith Murdoch took over. The Murdoch family’s media empire spans across continents and has been instrumental in shaping American politics. According to Forbes, the family’s net worth is estimated to be around $19 billion.
