Indian Billionaire Gautam Adani’s wealth skyrocketed by $12.3 billion in a single day

Gautam Adani

Indian business tycoon, Gautam Adani’s wealth skyrocketed by $12.3 billion in a single day due to the continued rally of Adani Group’s company shares in the stock market for three straight sessions. As of Wednesday, Gautam Adani’s net worth has reached $82.5 billion, marking a significant increase from the previous day. Adani has now moved up seven spots on the list of the world’s wealthiest individuals and currently holds the 15th position, just a few places below India’s richest person, Mukesh Ambani.

If Adani Group’s shares continue to gain value for another one or two trading sessions, Gautam Adani is expected to surpass the net worth of the chairman of Reliance Industries Limited, who currently has a net worth of $91.4 billion. The Reliance Industries Limited chairman is currently ranked 13th on the list of the world’s richest people.

Adani’s net worth is now $84.5 billion, putting him just behind Spanish billionaire Amancio Ortega ($83.6 billion) and ahead of American Waltons—Jim ($70.90 billion), Rob ($69.7 billion), and Alice ($68.60 billion). At his peak in 2021, Adani’s net worth was $150 billion.
