Ranked: These Are The countries With The Highest Inflation Rate

FLAGS

Consumer prices are being distorted by supply-chain disruptions and high energy costs triggered by geopolitical tensions. As a result, inflation is surging in almost half of the countries worldwide, with rates reaching double digits or higher. With new macroeconomic forces shaping the global economy, the table below shows countries with the highest inflation rates, using data from the CEOWORLD magazine’s executive council statistics division.

As the table below shows, countless countries are navigating record-high inflation levels. Some are even facing triple-digit inflation rates. Globally, Sudan, Zimbabwe, Turkey, Suriname, and Sri Lanka have the highest rates in the world.

Driven by the conflict in Ukraine, the cost of living is increasing worldwide due to energy inflation. If we look at history, it could take several years to control the rise in prices. Inflation is currently one of the most widely discussed topics in global media.
