“I’ve always believed in focus and patience,” Patrick says. “Golf taught me that early on.”

Born in New York City, Patrick moved to Huntington, New York, when he was just nine months old. He grew up in a close-knit family with two younger brothers. His mother, Erin, works in marketing for Kravet, a home furnishings brand. His father, Joe, works in sales trading at UBS.

Their careers exposed Patrick to both the creative and financial worlds. That mix would later influence his career path.

Leading on the Golf Course and Beyond

At Huntington High School, Patrick stood out for both academics and athletics. He became captain of the golf team and was known for his leadership.

During his very first match as a freshman, he scored a hole-in-one. It wasn’t just a lucky shot; it showed his calm mindset under pressure.

“Golf isn’t just about hitting the ball. It’s about reading the course, staying calm, and trusting your skills,” he explains.

Those same lessons followed him into business.

He earned a Scholar Athlete award throughout high school and was voted a “Natural Helper” by his peers—someone known for supporting others.

From Caddy to Global Business

Patrick didn’t stop after high school. He graduated from Penn State with a degree in communications, but it was his hands-on work that shaped his career.

He spent over eight years as a caddy at the Huntington Crescent Club. He also interned at Plandome Golf Club in 2020.

“Caddying taught me how to listen closely,” Patrick says. “You learn quickly that knowing what people need—even before they ask—is everything.”

That ability to anticipate needs carried over to his current role in sales and international purchasing at Protech, based in Long Island.

He manages sales, logistics, and purchasing across global markets. It’s a role that requires sharp thinking and constant communication with international suppliers and clients.

“It’s all about relationships,” Patrick says. “Every deal comes down to trust and timing.”

Why Patrick Values Strategy and Balance

Beyond work, Patrick stays committed to self-improvement. He enjoys golfing, trading, working out, and reading.

“I’m always looking to grow,” he shares. “Whether it’s improving my swing or learning more about global markets, it’s about staying sharp.”

His interest in trading and business started early, likely influenced by his father’s financial career. But he has also carved his own path by focusing on international trade and logistics.

Patrick also holds a certification in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging. He believes this is essential in today’s global business world.

“Everyone brings something different to the table,” he says. “Respecting that makes you a better leader and a better teammate.”

Leadership Lessons from Community Work

Leadership isn’t just a business skill for Patrick—it’s part of who he is. He coached youth basketball for three seasons at St. Hugh’s in Huntington Station.

“Coaching kids taught me patience and how to explain things clearly,” Patrick explains. “You have to break down complex ideas in simple ways.”

This same approach helps him in his career, where clear communication is critical in international negotiations.

Patrick’s path may seem unusual—starting with golf, caddying, and community work—but it gives him a unique edge.

He knows the value of patience, attention to detail, and staying composed under pressure. These traits help him succeed in the high-stakes world of sales and purchasing.

“I’m not in a rush,” Patrick says. “Long-term thinking always wins.”
